UI Torture Lab
Stress text.
Investigate what breaks.
Apply a deterministic text Scenario to an interface you own or can modify. Inspect new or measurably worsened layout regressions, Restore, and download the Evidence as Markdown.
01 / Evidence before interpretation
A measured change.
A place to investigate.
Baseline / synthetic example
Long Text / synthetic example
Read before and after
Subject: clipping boundary
Baseline: visible text
Mutated: a newly hidden range
Measured Delta: CSS pixels
Possible Cause: a hypothesis
Findings describe supported geometric regressions. They carry no severity, quality score, or accessibility verdict.
02 / One Scenario at a time
Open. Stress. Inspect. Restore.
- Open your interface in Google Chrome desktop stable and click the extension toolbar action.
- Choose one Scenario. The Run captures a Baseline, applies temporary Mutations, and compares supported Evidence.
- Inspect a Finding Subject or Primary Contributor. Investigate the relevant HTML and CSS in your own tools.
- Use explicit Restore, then Download Report. Reload if cleanup cannot be verified.

03 / Current build
Three Scenarios.
Three geometric Detectors.
Scenarios
- Long Text
- Repeats eligible text three times while preserving target identity.
- Unbreakable Text
- Appends one fixed 64-character token without adding wrapping opportunities.
- Large Text
- Doubles stable computed font sizes on eligible Text Scaling Targets.
Detectors
- Text Clipping
- New or worsened text hidden by a proven clipping boundary.
- Horizontal Containment Overflow
- New or worsened excess beyond a proven containing boundary.
- Viewport Overflow
- New or worsened page-level horizontal extent with a stable contributor.
The Official Distribution’s MVP is free, needs no account, and has no gated features. Read the distribution contract.
No Findings does not establish that the page has no layout problems. Read the Supported Scope.
Know the boundary before you install.
